There is so much to see & experience in this unique part of South Australia.

Second Valley

It is not hard to see why Second Valley was voted best beach in South Australia recently. Take the stroll along amazing rock formations near the Cove with its picturesque setting and reward yourself with lunch at the nearby award winning historic Leonards Mill.

Starfish Hill/ Cape Jervis

Watch the towering wind farms at Starfish Hill, the first wind farm to be established in South Australia, as the tip of each blade cuts 100m into the sky.   The descent to nearby Cape Jervis provides amazing views across to Kangaroo Island and is a good vantage point from which to see the ferries cross Backstairs passage to and from the island.

Tunkalilla Beach

Hang gliders have long known about this spectacular spot. The car park provides a commanding view of the coast line and nearby Pages Islands. The beach with its 5 kms of rugged surf is a favourite amongst fishers but care should be taken if planning a swim.

Raywood Nursery

This family owned nursery has been in operation since 1958. A magical setting amongst some of the oldest stringybark and grass tree forests in South Australia.  Raywood offers a wide range of hard to get plants at very reasonable prices and is worth the visit for the semi tame finches alone.

Ingalalla Falls

You can find this little gem hidden on Hayflat Road near Deep Creek Conservation Park. Ingalalla is a cascade waterfall with delightful picnic area at its base. For an elevated perspective of the valley towards Torrensvale take the fire track to the left of the gorge.
